Last Sunday was "G
uan Yin"'s
(commonly known in the West as the Goddess of Mercy) birthday. Guan Yin's birthday is celebrated thrice annually – on the 19th day of the second, sixth and ninth lunar month. I went to Pit Steet "Guan Yin" Temple to "pai pai" (pray) on last sunday for Guan Yin's 3rd Birthday of the year!

The temple was the oldest Guan Yin Temple in Penang. I used to go there to pray when i am free! On the day, this temple was crowded with many devotees! Why i was there is because i was attending my niece Kindergarten graduation ceremony and concert at Dewan Sri Pinang! While waiting for the ceremony to start, i walked to the temple to have a look and pray! During that day, some of the devotees might buy pigeons and release them! See the guy is selling the pigeons to the devotees!

Haha....the day i saw many so called "flower car" on the road! nice? They are ready for the procession from Pit Street to Jelutong! The above picture showing Tua Peh Kong Sitting on the big turtle!

This two pictures showing a big snake with a big turtle! what do you think? the design is great! i like it! The best "Flower Car" among the rest! By the way what do we call "Flower Car" in english? anyone knows please tell me!

On the way back to Dewan Sri Pinang, there was a long Q! The road was blocked for this ceremony! Again, i will say, i am proud to be Chinese staying in Penang where full of wonderful chinese event!
