Discovering Old ruin in the jungle, Ta Prom Temple will be the right place for you to visit! I will rather call this temple as Jungle Temple. When I walked in, the very 1st thing comes to my mind is....will the buiding collapses? I was told that some "maintainance" work was carried out to prevent collapses actually! However, I still worry! hehe....

Ta Prom was featured in the Movie, Tomb Raider by Angeline Jolie. I only knew about this when I visited this temple. Cool? During our visit, I bought a Bamboo made stuff for USD1 from an Old Man. According to our driver aka tour guide, he is the policeman's relative! Why? because no one is allowed to go into the temple to sell thier handmade products or souvenirs unless you are one of the policeman's relatives! That's why, i was given know that Cambodia is also one of the highest corruption country! ..... You can see how they "eat" money when you go there especially the Traffic Police.

One more thing to share. See one of the photos above, the little girl? She was eating WHITE RICE with BROWN SUGAR (some flies visited the rice at the same time) when we paid our visit to Ta Prom Temple. I felt sympathy and sorrow to this little kid who ate such things for their Lunch or Dinner. Do you think this is healthy to them? I don't think so. To Malaysian born children, don't blame if you are eating better than them. You should appreciate what you have now! Me too, after this vacation, I gain a lot! Definitely not gain weight la, gain a better knowledge and understanding on their living culture, how they survive, how the live etc.

True, I'm impressed by the beauty of this temple too. Good thing that they are doing the preservation work for the benefit of the future generations to get to see them ;)
