23 year-old in 1972 vs in 2008

Double Happiness Cup
These "double happiness" tea cups were bought in year 1972 when my parents got married. The wedding tea set is about 36 year-old but suprisingly they are still well maintained although another 3 tea cups are not in good "condition". By the way, not really sharp enough, I mean the photograph.

In a traditional Chinese Wedding, the new bride and groom pour tea for parents and relatives as a sign of respect and love. So the "double happiness" wedding tea set was used. This tea cup has the "Double Happiness" characters which is the Chinese symbol for Weddings, one of the most auspicious symbols for bringing more love into your life. Besides that it is also an auspicious symbol for bringing greater harmony and luck into your relationship life.
When they were 23 yrs old
Why suddently I talk so much on the "double happiness" symbol? Don't misunderstand. I was "trying" my lens that time with these 2 tea cups. Coincidentally, I found a wedding portrait of my parents in B&W. They were 23 year-old, which is exactly the same with my age now! They got married when they were 23, how about me? In the age of 23, what I have done? EARNING MONEY la of course. Nowadays, everything also money. No money, no talk.

So my question for this post is, someone said that my dad looks the same as me when I sent this photograph for framing yesterday. I denied but their customers also said the same which I don't really agree with. So what do you guys think? Same ah? Onajidesuka? 23 year-old in 1972 vs 23 year-old in 2008?

Wow, wow! That black and white wedding picture of your parents is really well preserved... or should I say, well edited?!! Anyway, whatever it is, it looks very nice.

And yes tea offering is a chinese tradition. I attended one too recently, my Chinese Best-Friend's wedding in China. See the link
