Ya, today I'm going to share this with you guys. Have you eaten any "Kacang Tumbuk" or "Kacang Gula" before? usually you can get this from supermarket in a ready pack but have you seen the process of making the "Kacang Tumbuh" or better known as "Kong Th'ng" live infornt of you before? I am sure the answer is NO or rare. See the picture above, the uncle is really "Tumbuk" infront of you!
I like to eat "Kong Th'ng" when I was small and this is the only stall that I eat because the "Kong Th'ng" is served with "Poh Piah Puih" (PohPiah Skin). What i can say is this is the best "Kong Th'ng" I have in my life! I don't think you can get this easily. Do you know that you only can eat this when there is any celebration of god's birthday somewhere in Jelutong, Penang? It is unique by the way just becasue it is served with Poh Piah Skin. It will not be perfect without the combination of "Kong Th'ng" with Poh Piah Skin. Wondering what is that and looking for translation? Don't ask me, I am not sure how should I call this in english! :P May be Kacang Tumbuk is Peanut Cookies? Kacang Gula is Peanut Candy?
By the way, i was informed that his son is working rather than helping his parents on this business due to the "Kang Hu" to hit the peanut is damn tough!
