Last saturday, I joined my leo pals for Thaipusam celebration at Jalan Utama. By the way, for those who is not familiar with this festival, THAIPUSAM is actually an annual Hindu festival which draws the largest gathering in multi-racial Malaysia. Several hundred devotees spear their cheeks with long, shiny steel rods and pierce their chests and backs with small, hook-like needles in penance.

We were there to offer coocnuts to the god and of course this was my very first time to toss coconut during Thaipusam. We gathered ourselves at Shaw Jhee' house. While waiting for the god the pass by his house, we had steamboat inside the house! But due to tuition, I was late to join them.

While waiting to toss the coconuts, we also dance like what the hindus did on the road! Everyone stares at us and laugh. What I can say, we really enjoyed the celebration as what the Hindus did.
These were the coconuts that we offered to the god when the god pass by.
Ah GU and Ah KOK...
ah GU and Him Keat and the indian fellow with strong liquor smell.
Last but not least, sharing aother piece of photo of our YAB Lim Guan Eng who visited booth by booth with his lovely wife and YBs. I am very sure, he got a restless days during chinese new year.
