Wesak Day 2009- Foyi
This is an outdated post but please allow me to post up some photos of the Wesak Procession that that I've participated on last few weeks together with my Foyi pals and Foyi Sunday School Students. As I mentioned before, I've been joining the Wesak Day celebration for a few years. Since the 1st time that I participated in the wesak procession, I never want to miss any year unless I am not in Penang. It was fun procession for us as we sang, we shouted and we "siao" together although we shouldn't do that. From Burmah Road CRC, passby a lot of places like Kelawai Road, Pulau Tikus, Island Hospital, Penang Buddhist Association, Macalister Road ..... Along the way, we distributed the Dharma Flags to the children at the roadside. This is to make everyone celebrate the Wesak Day with us no matter who you are. Join us next year, if you are interested ok? For more photos, pelase visit www.foyipenang.org Going off to tuition right now and what I will do after tuition later? Spending for Flash.....

Ipoh Unity and South Kowloon Leos Twinning Ceremony in Ipoh

IpohUnityTwinning

I've attended the twinning ceremony between Leo Club of Ipoh Unity and Leo Club of South Kowloon Hong Kong last month 18th of April 2009 at Ipoh Royal Club together with onglai who drove me all the way from Penang to Ipoh. Thanks for the ride. We were there not because we were invited to witness the twinning ceremony only. At the same time, I had a chance to meet up with Christine and Lily whom I knew both of them since my last trip to Hong Kong.

The whole dinner was running smoothly with a very simple yet formal Twinning and Induction of new members. We said goodbye to each other after 10.30pm. Oh ya, I need to thank Christine and Lily for your Lou Por Peng aka "Wife Biscuit" and Pretz Shark's Fin Flavoured Biscuit Sticks. Hope you both like the tanbum biscuits that I "exchanged" with you girls! We departed from Ipoh at around 10.45pm and reached Penang at 12.15am if I'm not mistaken. Quite tired actually as I "terus" went to Ipoh after my 4 hours long Tuitions! :P

Hi guys, finally I managed to get and post our recent held ALL STAR NIGHT Charity Dinner photos and videos here. Nothing much I will blog on it. The only thing I will say is the dinner met our expectation and we felt thankful for those who support us all the way for this dinner. The donors who are not able to join us but support in $ such as my brother Lion Clayton from PJ and Lion Marcus from Ipoh and Lion Sunny from Penang. Other than them, we are very honour to have Dato Khoo Kay Huat, DC May Cheah, RCC Don Hoe, our very own PP Lai Peng, Lion Johnny Tye, Shawn Lee and Lion Loo Boon Jin..... They were the ribbon cutters for the night. Oh ya, I need to thank myself too as I'm one of the ribbon cutters :P.

We enjoyed every moment in this dinner and we humblely say that we did well for this dinner with limited resources although there was some minor miss communication. A lot of friends that I need to thank here such as Ipoh Unity Leo pals... Si Sheng... Foyi pals... and many many more! Never forget to thank Fiona, Victor, Zhang Hao's parents for being so supportive towards this dinner! Last but not least, thank you Lion Teh, Ley Ming, Victor, Edwin, Roxanne, Fiona, Jocelyn, Him Keat, Wallace, Lai Peng, Jameson, Carrin, Daniel, Cheng Yee, Wei Chein, Teng Ju, Ee Ling, Fa Liang, Jessica, Tommy, who else? those members who attended this dinner as a whole! A visit to Kuala Terengganu China Town and Market

On the way back to Kuala Terengganu
(Tiring and Messy look after Redang Trip)

I've been away from my lovely home for a few days for vacation at Redang Island last weekends. I don't have much phtoos on redang trip as there is nothign for me to shoot. Furthermore, my dear camera is not water resistant. So I'm now sharing some photos taken after Redang trip! All photos published here are taken with Nokia Express Music 5800.

Bahasa Jawi
(The wet market in Kuala Terengganu)

The 1st destination I visited was the Wet market! I done my shopping for fish crackers here. I tell you what, if you visit Kuala Terengganu next time, remember to go upstair for the fish crackers as they are selling RM 1 per pack whereas the one I bought was 9 for RM 10! Another useful tip is if you are looking for souvenirs from Redang or Trengganu, here is the right place. I tell you what the price is 2 times cheaper than Redang Island. WTH. Another thing you may observe when you are in the market is the sign board all are attached with Jawi Language! Other than this, the very "gerli" thing you may see in the market is, they are selling "sea turtle's eggs". WTF. I thought this is an illegal trade?

Jalan Kampung Cina, Kuala Terengganu
(Jalan Kampung Cina also known as China Town)Temple @ Kuala Terengganu China Town

(The Kuala Terengganu China Town)
Kuala Terengganu Hai Nan Hui Kuan
(Wisma Persatuan Hai Nan Kuala Terengganu and yours truly) Kuala Terengganu China Town

After shopping at wet market, we continue our journey to visit the China Town! I was told by one of the local chinese businesswoman that Chinese in Terengganu is very hard to apply for a stall in the wet market. They usually open for Malays. So sad to hear that actually. I thought Chinese is also apart of Malaysian but why Chinese will have different treatment from the government. swt and speechless.
RM 3 mixed fruits and vege drinks

While walking along the China Town, We found something special in one of the Cafe- T. Homemade Cafe. The drinks that I ordered is made up from Green Apple, western celery, lemon and sour plum. tasty and unique. Is only RM3. very cheap very nice! You may try this out. There are alot of choices but this is the signature drinks that they are selling.

Last but not least, before I end this post and go to sleep, introducing the BECA of Kuala Terengganu! Cantik tak? You knwo what, this BECA was "naik" by raja Terengganu and many VVIPs. I'm on of them actually. Can I considered my self as VVIP too? Aiya, I forgot to give my name to POK LOK, the owner of this beca for him to record down my name in the BECA! haha....
