It has been sometimes since my last post about my office life. This is a short and random post that I'm writting now. Chinese New year is around the corner. I'm glad that one of our colleagues is back to Penang from Munich after a year of TDA. It's going to be 3 years working in this company. So we can renew our old group photo that currently place on my cubicle. Talking about the company that I'm working for, although I don't really satisfy with the pay (under value) as well as the benefits that the company offered but luckily I have/ had a bunch of colleagues who are nice to work with. Some people agree that working happily is more important than the pay and some say the other way. To me, if I can get both at the same time, I will be the happiest person ever. What about you?

Come back to the above 2 pictures: our latest group photo and the WooHoo (soft toy) that we owned. Finally we managed to renew our old group photo with the above. I like the group photo very much because my hair was not messy :). Everyone of us looks nice in the picture. We used to take picture together when there is someone leaving the company or during birthday lunch. But...but I just love the group photo above. Love it with no reason. Come on, your turn to comment. Like or Dislike? Ok la..sharing these 2 photos before going for dinner :) Oh ya, in case you are wondering where to get the above WooHoo, the little tiger, you may get it from any outlet of Eu Yan Sang 余仁生. It costs you RM 68 for 1 set of 5 tigers. RM 10 from teh sales will be donated for charity purpose.

District 308 B2 Leo Forum 2010

Yes, the forum call from the 12th District 308 B2 Leo Forum Organizing Committee is finally here. Leos from Ditsrict 308 B2, you may now hop to our Leo Forum Official blog here. This year, we are organizing our own Leo Forum. What is that mean? Traditionaly, Leo Forum is organized in Multiple District (MD) Level which involved Leos from all over Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei, 4 sub-districts namely District 308 A1 (Singapore), District 308 A2, (Sabah and Sarawak) , District 308 B1 (East Coast to Southern Part of Selangor) and District 308 B2 (Perlis to Northern part of Selangor). After several years of tradition, A2 does thier own Forum which is more affordable if comparing to having the Leo Forum in Peninsular or vice versa. To make a different, our turn to have our own Leo Forum again this year.

Ok Enough nonsense, time to promote the Leo Forum. Trust me, this year Leo forum is gonna be a brand new Leo Forum that you never attend before. To be frank, if you miss out this year Leo Forum @ Cystal Crown Hotel in PJ, you will regret after that. I'm serios!! So, come on sign up once the registration form is avaialble. The 3 highlights for this year Leo Forum wil be the brand new event named Fiesta of Colours, Fellowship Night and Banquet Night

By looking at these 3 posters, I feel excited and looking forward to the Leo Forum which will be held in Crystal Crown Hotel, PJ from 11-13 June 2010. The registration fee is RM 280nett. So do not hesistate, sign up now while the registartion is still open. A special year for me too. I'm not the FOC this year. I'm going to be a registered delegate to support the Leo Forum! OngLai's Birthday at Ferringhi Garden and Hard Rock Hotel

This is a late late post!! Back to 31st October 2009, it was Halloween as well as OngLai's Birthday, dual Celebration party. We had 1 night stay in Hard Rock Hotel. We swam, we drank and of course we celebrated OngLai's birthday at Ferringhi Garden Restaurant with a bunch of friends from Penang City that we used to hang out together.

I had no idea what to do for the halloween. This was the loook i had for the night. The blood bleeding on my face did not looks like blood too. Not scary at all....

Fiona, Yun Ni, Chze Yue, Ching Yee, Zhang Hao, Tict Chyuan, Him Keat, Victor, Jameson, Alex and myself. Wallace only joined us after the late mid night for "SLEEP". We booked 2 rooms in Hard Rock Hotel, 1 for male and 1 for female.

At night, we had our dinner at Ferringhi Garden Restaurant. Not to forget to thank BirthdayGirl for the treat. I like the atmosphere of the restaurant. Is kinda romantic and cozy. The food served in this restaurant was above our expectation. I had fish but i forgot the name of the meal that I've ordered. It was fresh and the most importantly it was Juicy! May be the fish fillet was marinated before send to grill. I forgot what I ordered and the taste right now as It was happended 3 months back. What I know is, I like thier service, food and environment. A very good combination.

After our dinner, the restaurant served complimentary cakes for birthday boy and girl. Yup, Victor was the birthday boy and OngLai was the birthday girl. The complimentary cake was nicely decorated. It shouldn't be called as cake, it was actually a pudding+ ice cream. Nice?

After the complimentary "Cake" by the restaurant, here we presented the cake that we specially ordered for OngLai- Pineapple shaped Fruit Cake, suprise presentation by vampireKOK. Nice?

Victor's birthday was a few days before than OngLai. So, we sekaligus celebrated. They posed with the birthday cake. Victor on the left and OngLai on the right.

After the dinner, all of us headed back to hotel. For those who never been there before, they started to take pictures in the hotel. From Lobby to Corridor. I didnt have chance to "squeeze" in the cafe. It was crowded due to Halloween night. After taking photos, we back to our rooms for junk food party. That's it. The next day, the guys went to swim for the whole morning :) The rest, jadi PIG :)

Visit to Old Folks Home @ Permatang Tinggi

On 27 December 2009, together with another 4 members from Friends of Foyi, we visited " Rumah Sejahtera Permatang Tinggi, an old folks' home located in Permatang Tinggi. The whole trip was actually a food tour "initiated" by yours truly. We hunted for hawker food from Bukit Mertajam to Raja Uda. To make the trip meaningful, we've decided to pay a visit to Rumah Sejahtera Permatang Tinggi. I have a lot of photos to blog and post actually. But, just dont have the time to do so. I will try my best to post those delicious hawker food for your "reference".

在佛义之友在主任庄国胜的带领下佛义之友委员越桥过海到访巴东丁宜安老院。因为时间上的问题，他们这一趟只拜访以便了解该院的设备及需求。与主任同行的共有4位佛义之友委员。当天佛义之友也拨出马币200零吉以尽一份绵力帮助他们日常开销。

It took us about 1 hour in the home to understand the needs of the home as well as talk to the old folks. Although Rumah sejahtera is supported and funded by the Government, they still need donations to maintain the home too. Lions Clubs in that area like Bagan also contributed a lot to the home. During any festival celebration like Chinese New Year, the local Service organizations will also oragnise a visit as well as party at the home too. They share the joy of the festival with the residents. Befoer we ended the visit, we donated RM 200 to the home too. Although it is just a small sum of donation, but we hope that..we hope that, at least to reduce some of their financial burden. We will visit the home again provided I have the support from my members :). Perhaps, we will be having a party for the residents.

For the last few days, everyone was busy about our beloved Leos' funeral. Now, everything is over. Keep your tears now. Those who are still pursuing their education, back to study now! Make sure you study hard and do well in your study not only for yourself and family but for your beloved friends who had gone to another world especially those who are closed friend to them.

For those who are working like me, of course, back to work :) We shall look forward. No more sorrow no more tears. Let them RIP. Ok? SMILE... like what i did today. I smile for the whole day in the office. Greet my colleagues with my lovely smile on my face :) very "sour" btw :)

RIP Jason Ch'ng Wai Seong, CLHS Leo President

I write this post with deep sympathy. I can't believe that I just lost another friend after James. A young and energetic teenager had lost his life in the recent Dragon Boat Tragedy. Jason, I can't believe that you had just gone to a place where you gonna live there for permanently without ROARing with us. There will not be any chance for us to hear the ROAR that you lead Leo Club of Chung Ling High School "Zhong Leng Roar, Zhong Leng Roar, Zhong Leng ROAR ROAR ROAR".

Seriously, I really can't believe this incident happended on my friend as well as Junior. We just met in CLHS Gerko Open Day 2010 yesterday. That's my 1st time attending your CLHS Leo Club Activity as the representative from District 308 B2 Leo Cabinet (after official formation in December) and now it's gonna be the last time that you and me standing infront of camera together.

For those who still catch no balls, Jason Ch'ng, President of Leo Club of Chung Ling High School had passed away peacefully on 17 January 2010. We have just lost an Outstanding Leo President in Leo District 308 B2, Malaysia. In fact, it is a huge lost to all of us. A capable Leo leader just left his friends and Leos behind. What i can say is, he is one of the unlucky one, one of the victims that involved in the incident of dragon boat capsized. On behalf of Leo District 308 B2 as well as your sister club Leo Club of Penang (City), deeply mourns his passing. Your dismissal news is still unacceptable and unbelievable.

For the 1st time, I emailed you and informing you that I'm interested to pay a visit to your club's mini exhibition and you replied me this:-

At the same time, on behalf of Foyi as well as Friends of Foyi, my deepest condolence to the family of Late Jason Ch'ng Wai Seong too. Your support and participation in our Foyi Children Camp for the last 2 years are deeply appreciated by all of the Foyi members.

Talking about Foyi, I still remember when you were elected to serve as the Leo President of Chung Ling High School, the 1st thing you talked to me was regarding Joint project with Foyi. You asked me, will there be any project that Foyi can join with CLHS Leo Club. Aiyeeer... No more chance that we can work together now. Anyway, hope you rest in peace!! Take care of yourself in another world. 阿弥陀佛！Sweet Memory in both Leo and Foyi will stay with us forever! Crystal, take care too...

I went for a dinner gathering with my foyi gang the same day after my arrival. We dined at Chilis Gurney after we had our window shopping at Padini Gurney Plaza. Due to big serving size, we ordered the above 3 and shared by 5 persons.

Just an usual outing with these girls. Eat, drink and chit chat for the whole night before everyone heading back home. I drank 4 glassess of fruit drinks :) Worth leh? For those who never seen them in my blog, they are my friends in Penang Buddhist Free School Ex-Pupils' Association aka FOYI. They supported me since the day I was elected as the chairman for Foyi Exco Member. Without their support, I wont be able to carry out my duty smoothly. They help me to manage sunday school, annual children camp and other cultural related projects. Thank you from myself to all of you! Kamxia~~~~

This is nice but....but...

I arrived Penang yesterday morning from KL LCCT. After having my 1st meal in Penang for year 2010, I drove to Foyi to visit my students as well as hip hop dance instructors. They are now preparing another dance with the song that I proposed to them. I joined them for fun too and I will join them regularly to learn the new dance step as well. After the class, I headed back to my house and took a shower to refresh myself before going out for Lunch with Kelvin and meeting up with my foyimates.

We met up in Gurney Plaza after they had enjoyed themselves in RED BOX. We visited Padini and Zhi Yan suggested to me to try some of the shirts and shorts. She picked and I tried. Personally, I had choosen 1 Padini Polo T and 1 piece of PDI white shorts. When I would like to make payment, I was told that for Padini Authentic products, I need to buy at least RM 150 in order to enjoy RM 30 cash rebate whereas for PDI, I need to buy 2 pieces in order to enjoy 20% discount. I was there using my brain to calculate how much more that I need to purchase in order to enjoy RM 30 rebate. Everyone of them looking at me and complaining me. Count lai count ki calculate and calculate, I ended up walked out from Padini. :P The reason was, it was not worthwhile to buy up to RM 150 in order to get RM 30 cash rebate. Is hard for me to explain the reason rigth here but what I can say is I'm a calculative man and of course I'm a smart consumer. Chin Lai was the person who served me. He kept on telling me that he already put the selected items at the cashier there and I need to pay.... He was like "WTF" when I said I dont want to buy! lol Sorry la, Chin Lai. Dont behsong me la....Frankly, I was smart enough last night. The reason I said so is I received a SMS from PADINI today...informing me that there will be a 20% storewide in coming weekend. ohyeah~ so I save.... Personally, I prefer discount than cash rebate. What do you think? (by the way, I tak pandai in telling the whole incident in details la... so... just ignore :)
