The environment is cozy and it makes you feel comfortable to dine in. The interior design is very chinese and it looks the same as Canton-I when I first stepped in the restaurant. I wonder whether the management is the same or not.. hmm... I have doubt. haha... Anyway, the set meal costs me RM 18.90+ 10% service charge +5% government tax. The serving is big enough for 2. If you are bored with the exsiting restaurants and also looking for authentic taiwanese food in Queensbay Mall, you may try this new restaurant. Although it is expensive but you will end up feel that it is worthwhile to have a try. Something new in Queensbay Mall :)

Kek Lok Si and 3 crazy photographers

(Looks Romantic? lol Min Xiang and ahKOK)
(That's me and Kek Lok Si Temple)
(That's Alvin, i like this shot, got FEEL)
Last night, I went to a place where I can shoot the night scene of Kek Lok Si together with Alvin and Min Xiang. We spent a few minutes to walk up the hill from the Tua Pek Kong Temple next to the Seven Eleven, Air Itam. It was my 1st time trying to shoot the whole Kek Lok Si but I don't really satisfy with the pictures taken. May be I dont know the correct way to shoot or perhaps my cam is lousy. There was a path on your left hand side after you have a walked a distance up. There is the place where you can take the best angle of the whole Kek Lok Si. We met a lot of pro-photographers right there when we reached. They armed with NIKON DSLR with sipeh holiao Lens. I started to hate NIKON haha... why? As I was the only one armed with Canon DSLR and the picture quality is better than mine after comparing with Min Xiang. geerrr... I will share mine in the next post. By now, sharing the above 3 pictures by MX. I was the Idea contributor to take these pictures!! :) Nice? No edit work added. They are original! :) You may refer to MX's flickr. Tell me how you feel.....

BEST SHOT for CNY 2010 #3

#3: Eating Biscuit Game. Though, it was not nicely captured but at least it does tell us something.
No matter how old you are, you are still able to play as what the youngers do.
Yeah~ Trying to capture this scene for a number of times in the recent guang ming miao hui. A few pictures were taken and this is the best among the rest but..but.. still not satisfy :) Dont you think that this uncle is cute? He joined the fun and enjoy the little game in the Miao Hui. Most of the participants that I saw were uncles and aunties. They are young in heart :) yeah~

BEST SHOT for CNY 2010 #1

#1- Erecting the Sugar Canes, one of the offerings by Hokkiens.
As per my understanding, generations ago, Hokkiens were saved by Jade Emperor from entermination by demons. Jade Emperor fought for the Hokkiens as they sought refuge in the SugarCane Plantation. Coincidently, the day was also the birthday of Jade Emperor. So generations and years later, Hokkiens offer SugarCanes to thank and appreciate the helping hands by Jade Emperor!

CNY Dinner @ Maple Palace
Lou ah Lou~ Time for Lou Sang lo! AS usual, I had my annual CNY "Siu Kang" Dinner with my colleagues as well as lunchmates together. This year, there is no free Dinner by the department or our boss so this is our self paid CNY Dinner. Last year we had it at TAO, eGate and this year we changed to Chinese Cuisine 8 Course Dinner at Maple Palace. The dinner started off with YEE SANG! YEE SANG is a traditional auspicious dish that symbolise the ushering of good luck, good health, wealth and longevity for the lunar new year. We tossed the YEE SANG as high as we can in the air with chopsticks in hope that the new year will brings us prosperity, abundance and vigor. I had tossed twice before the Lunar New Year. How about you? Have you toss any?
The dinner costs us RM 788++. Expensive? Yes, indeed it is. Luckily, my team lead was kind and geenrous enough to contribute RM 200 to reduce our "financial" burden. :) Mostly, this kind of dinner is organised by the company and the employee does not pay any single cent. Due to budget constraint, no choice but to pay ourselves.
Come back to the 8 course dinner, the reason why I said costly is because of the serving portion. No one was back with "full stomach". I've no idea whether it is worthwhile or not with the dishes they served. To my understanding, CNY Dinner/ Lunch is never cheap. That's it. Is hard for you to find budget course dinner during the CNY.
We also celebrated a belated birthday for one of my colleagues- Renee. Due to "budget" constraint, I've prepared the above"suprise" for her. A bun with candle and decorated with a piece of watermeloon. Nice right? She should be glad to have me as one of her colleagues. I think no one will give her such a nice birthday "cake". We sang birthday song for her whereas she was holding this plate of "birthday cake". The waiter and waitress were looking at her and she felt shy and keep on laughing.
Don't jump to the conclusion that we are STINGY colleagues. Although, we might not be able to get a 5 or 10kg cake at the very last minute, but no matter how, we will still get a small slice of cake for her. Tang Tang~ Here we served the cake after the "bun". She felt suprised! I think she started to scold in her heart after we presented the BUN to replace the cake. No choice la, this was the process of making another one to have a unforgettable birthday. You see her face changed so fast in the above 2 pictures. From "upset" to "happy".
Click and Snap was my duty but too bad those pictures taken by me were not perfect. I feel like throwing away my DSLR and replace with a good one that comes with L lens. :) Frankly, I targeted to own a DSLR with HD video camera now. Hoepfully, my dream comes true soon :)
Before everyone heading back home, a group photo was taken. Thansk to Joe for helping us to take a group photo. Today is new year eve, wishing all my friends again, GONG XI FA CAI and HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!
