I'm featured in the recent Kedah Leo Idol Final press release in Kwong Wah Yit Poh. So what? No, this is different from what I used to have. Previously, I was featured as Organizing Chairperson, Chairman or Club President in the news but now I'm featured as District Vice President! yeah~ I feel a great sense of achievement as DVP! :) Again, thanks to President Steven Chew and DC Alan Thoo for giving this opportunity to say a few words on the stage and present prizes to the winnner! Frankly, I'm glad to be recognized as DVP in recent Kedah Leo Idol Final. My efforts in promoting Leo District 308 B2 Cabinet is not wasted.

I've gained alot in this trip. I managed to meet up with not only Keat Hwa Leos and Alor Star Leos but Chio Min Leos from Kulim too. After the function, we had supper together and in our conversation I also received a lot of feedbacks. Not bad at least I understand better what is going on in R3. Going forward, i will be putting more efforts in helping and supporting R2 and R3 Leo Clubs provided I'm still in my position! :) By the way, Nice to meet you all :)

Leo Idol Season 3 Kedah Challenge Final @ Keat Hwa K

I've attended the last station of Leo Idol Season 3 in District 308 B2 in Kedah last Saturday together with District Secretary Foong Chee Keat and one of the Leo Cabinet Officers Teoh Boon Teong.
Boon Teong came late that's why not able to find him in any pictures.
I was arranged to accompany the Lion President Tai from Lions Club of Alor Star (Host) for his arrival

togther with DS Chee Keat, Lion Dignitaries, Leo Presidents, Advisor and OC Wong Yee Earn.

I'm glad to be recognized in Protocol as District Vice President 1 in this event.

At least I know we (Leo Cabinet Officers) are not forgotten :)
Sometime, we are not recognized in any function eventhough they know who we are.

As in my position, if i received a seperate invitation,
I do hope that myself and the team are recognized as least in the protocol as Leo Cabinet Officers.
Indirectly, you are actually helping us to promote the "District Leo Cabinet".
At least, at least, we wont be feel "ashamed" by attending the function with our uniform.
Imagine, wearing a coat to attend a function.......
No one bother about you........

Let's come back to the Region 3 Kedah Leo Idol Final.

I was given the honour by President Steven to say a few words on the stage.
He told me a night before so the speech might not be well written.
This was my 2nd time representing the Leo Distrit to say a few words in Leo function as DVP1.
My 1st DVP speech was in Xmas Tree project.
Frankly, I love to give speech on the stage :)
At least I'm given a chance to write, to speak and to improve.

Throughout the competition, I enjoyed and at the same time identified who will be the winners too.
Coincidently, the 3 judges had the same result as mine. :) Smart? lol

DC Alan Thoo announced the result whereas myself and Lion Tai presented the prizes together.

both of them also walked away with a special award too they had received the MOST votes among the others!

Lastly, a group shot with the 10 finalist! Thanks President Steven and President Shern Houng for your invitation and great hospitality. My promise to you and Kedah Leos, I will be back to Alor Star very soon. I want to explore more in alor star and spend more times with Kedah Leos too! to fullfil my own mission 1 district 1 heart... all Leos unite as ONE in District 308 B2:)

"WOK FOR LOVE" Cooking Compeition @ Komtar Walk

I hope I'm not too late to share this event in my blog but as usual what others used to say "late better than none". This coming Sunday, 25th April 2010, there will be a WOK FOR LOVE Region 1 Leos Cooking Competition at Komtar Walk from 1pm to 6pm. ALL of you are invited to attend this competition. Most importantly, the local famous food blogger CK LAM from what2seeonline.com is invited to be the Guest of Honour as well as the Guest Judge to grace this meaningful event. In addition, we are indeed a great honour to have Baki Zainal (8TV's 横行8道Step Forward & Celebrity Chat Host; actor "Amir" in 你好！Mr Siao on NTV7, founder of MCG2) and Zenny Lyn (Biggest Loser Asia Home Challenge Champion) to participate in this competition too. I mentioned about the birthday suprises that had planned for my friends in earlier post and this is one of the birthday girl. Phooi Sin, my boss. We came into the office earlier than usual. What we did was decorating his cube with a lot of decorative items. Some help to blow the balloons up and hang them up all over her cube. :) Present, cake and birthday card were placed. It was like a birthday party corner in the office :) I guess she knew about we are going to do something to surprise her but just she didnt know we decorated her cubicle. It was a suprise indeed. Whole office knew about her brithday and wished her on the spot. Other team even sang birthday song for her too. :) That's cool~ I like to surprise others and to be surprised sometime. You just dont know what is going to happen next... ... of cos.. the surprise i refer is the surpise that bring joy and laughther la... not.... that one that will cause my tears drop:)

Remember? I've participated in the recent Walk For Sight 2010 Charity Walk. This is the only photo that i found from the 5 official photographers. The only photo showing ahKOK in action to experience the darkness in the early morning together with the Chung Ling Leos. Yong Seng led us in our walk. I remembered I've wrongly touched a girl during the walk actually becuase they gave me the wrong direction. :) Sorry to that girl haha...

Is makan time again. Due to my laziness I missed out a lot of our gathering photos in my blog actaully. Last Saturday, it was our another outing among my team collgueas and lunchmates. The last one was CNY gathering at my AM's condo. No post for that by the way. Hopefully, I'm able to spare out my time to do a summary post for my CNY. I know is kinda late, but the purpose of my blog is to record the journey of my life. So late better than none as what people likes to say. We had our dinner at Ferringhi Garden. This was my 2nd visit. The 1st visit was OngLai's birthday during Halloween Night. It was actaully a suprise birthday dinner to my AM la. She didn't know about it until a birthday cake was presented by the staff of the restaurant. Anyway, she was suprise about that. We are glad to know that she was happy. The last celebration we organised for her was 2 years back in TGIF Queensbay Mall. In that week itself, I had given 4 surprises to 4 friends/ colleagues. Serena, Fiona, Phoo Sin and followed by Cynthia . What a wonderful oragniser/ planner. 4 of them were surprised and happy. I have the Joy of achievement. lol. Will blog on those suprise in next coming post..hopefully i can make it. By the way, I'm thinking to switch to NIKON D90...from Canon 400D.. and going to sell off my 580EXII and other gears if possible to have some cash in. What do you think? D90 ok? or 50D?

I'm glad that I have a bunch of friends from diffrent age group. From 10+ to 50+, I have it all. For "older" age friends, they are mainly come from Chin Kang Hoay Kuan, Foyi and Lions Clubs that I joined.Whereas for the "younger" age friends, of course is none other than my loved one- Leo Club! Frankly, I feel great to have different age group of friends. Definitely, you will find the advantages for having this.

Younger generation> update you the latest trend and for sure you will feel younger! This is TRUE! :)
Older generation> advise and guide you and give you alot of opportunity and support. :)

Come to a common question that some of my friends might ask me> "Do I have any communication barrier?". Honestly, the answer is NO. I love my friends. That's the reason I have no communication barrier or genaration gap with them :) Fun, laughter and bullshit will never miss out just because of our age gap. Ok...Stop talking nonsense... Posting the above 4 photos taken during CNY... They are my 17 yrs old friends.

It has been sometimes i never wake up that early.
WFS has that honour! :)

3.8km walk but to be frank, i just walk for 2km with my eyes blind folded led by Yong Seng this morning.

It was fun. You are actually given a chance to experience the "DARKNESS" that those visually impaired folks face every day!

I salute to them after the walk. They are awesome. I cant imagine if one day, something goes wrong with my vision, how am i going to survive... omg, really cant imagine that....

So that's the reason why the Lions Club and Leo Clubs organized this awareness campaign! We want every single one of you who attended this project as well as those newspaper readers to know the importance of your EYES! take good care of it... ok? Care for your eyes always.. Leos care for you!

Tomb Sweeping Season @ Batu Gantung

I went to "Cheng Beng" together with my mum and brother at Batu Gantung for my paternal great grandfather, grandmother's parents and of course my grandmother last sunday.

The weather was HOT! I sweat non-stop.
We did our tomb sweeping under the hot sun!

One thing I noticed during my visits to my ancestors was those who went to tomb sweeping are not eco friendly enough. You can find alot of plastic bags left behind.
Not only plastic bags but foods and drinks too.
They never bring back after prayer.
What a stink!


And this........ omg...vendalism? they need to be educated!
or perhaps, the management should restrict them......

So if you are one of them, please bring back and use ECO bag!
Later better than doing nothing, ok!
